Canine Hydrotherapy
In a 14ft diameter pool, gentle massage techniques are used to relieve pain and strengthen and retrain muscles whilst the dog is swimming.
The water is warm, which helps muscles relax while the dog is swimming, the dog is virtually weightless which helps it to use a full range of motion. The dog's movement increases blood flow and oxygenation, helping the natural healing process. Canine hydrotherapy works through a combination of the dog's muscle
relaxation, movement in the water, virtual weightlessness, and the aid of the therapist.
